Unofficial Prize Information – Legs 1 & 2 and Series

Base Entry Fee
All teams pay a tournament base entry fee of $5,000. This is not optional. The tournament base entry fee prize money will be disbursed to the winners accordingly: 50 percent goes to the tournament; the remaining 50 percent goes to the top three team point leaders.

The scoring system includes five-hundred (500) points awarded for every blue marlin officially released. One hundred (100) points for every white marlin, spearfish or sailfish officially released.

TEAM DIVISION AWARDS

  • First-Place Team – 50 percent
  • Second-Place Team – 30 percent
  • Third-Place Team – 20 percent
  • High-Point Angler – Trophy and Prize Package
  • High-Point Lady Angler – Trophy and Prize Package


In the event of a tie the team reaching the highest score first wins with the other team assuming the next award position. This is based on the time of release of billfish.

LEG 1, LEG 2 AND SERIES OPTIONAL JACKPOTS
All optional jackpot divisions are 88% payback. The tournament rules apply to all optional jackpots. Only teams entered in the base entry may enter the optional jackpots.

SCRUB ISLAND BILLFISH SERIES JACKPOT
$5000
The fee to enter the Scrub Island Billfish Series Overall Points Jackpot is $5,000 and is optional. Teams must be registered by 6:59 am September 5, 2025 to be eligible for the Scrub Island Billfish Series Overall Points Jackpot. The Scrub Island Billfish Series Optional Points Jackpot will be awarded to the top three teams with the most overall points of the two event (leg) series and will be awarded accordingly; First place 50%, Second Place 30%, Third Place 20%.

DAILY BILLFISH RELEASE JACKPOT
Level 1 – $2500
Level 2 – $5000
There are two levels of optional Daily Billfish Release Jackpots. You must register in level one to be eligible for the level-two jackpot. The daily billfish-release prize consists of one-third of the total jackpot money. If no billfish are released on an individual day, the jackpot rolls over to the next day. If no billfish are released on the final day of fishing, then the final-day jackpot money goes to the previous day’s winner(s). Only teams entered in the daily billfish-release jackpot will be eligible for these cash awards.

  • Day-one, level-one Billfish-Release Jackpot — one-third of total pot.
  • Day-two, level-one Billfish-Release Jackpot — one-third of total pot.
  • Day-three, level-one Billfish-Release Jackpot — one-third of total pot.


OVERALL BILLFISH RELEASE POINTS JACKPOT
$5000
The fee to enter into the Overall Billfish Release Points Jackpot is $5,000 and is optional. The Overall Billfish Release Points Jackpot will be awarded to the top three teams with the most overall billfish release points of the tournament over the three days of fishing and be awarded accordingly. First place – 50% / Second place – 30% / Third place – 20%. Only teams registered in the overall billfish release points jackpots will be eligible for these cash awards.

WINNER-TAKE-ALL RELEASE JACKPOT
$5000
The fee to enter into the Winner-Take-All Release Jackpot is $5,000 and is optional. The team with the most release points wins entire jackpot.

BUZZER BEATER LAST FISH RELEASED DAILY JACKPOT
$1000
The fee to enter into the Buzzer Beater Last Fish Released Jackpot is $1,000 and is optional. The team who releases the last billfish of the day with will the daily prize.

  • Day-one, Buzzer Beater Last Fish Released Jackpot — one-third of total pot.
  • Day-two, Buzzer Beater Last Fish Released Jackpot — one-third of total pot.
  • Day-three, Buzzer Beater Last Fish Released Jackpot — one-third of total pot.


FINAL FLURRY LAST DAY DAILY JACKPOT

$1500
The fee to enter into the Final Flurry Last Day Daily Jackpot is $1,500 and is optional. The team who accumulates the most release points on the last day of the tournament will win the entire jackpot.

PRIZE DISBURSEMENT
Each registered team representative is in control of any prize winnings and must sign a prize disbursement form specifying how the funds are to be distributed. If the funds are intended to be disbursed to multiple parties, each party must fill out a form signing off on their portion of the winnings and specifying how the funds are to be distributed (check, ACH or wire), in addition to providing a signed form W-9, if applicable. Funds will be disbursed 30 days from receipt of all necessary documents, as long as all tournament entry fees have cleared the bank. All funds will be paid from a US bank account in US dollars.
