While all efforts are made to keep this information current, all published rules and awards shall be considered unofficial. Official rules will be distributed and announced at the registration check-in and captains meeting. All participants agree to the terms of these rules by participating in the tournament.

Bermuda Triple Crown Series Optional Jackpots

All optional jackpot divisions are 85% payback.

BTC Overall Points Jackpot $5,000
The fee to enter the BTC Overall Points Jackpot is $5,000 and is optional. Teams must register before their first entered tournament fishing day in the series to be eligible. The Bermuda Triple Crown Points Jackpot will be awarded to the top three teams with the most overall series points of the three event series and will be awarded accordingly;
First place 50%, Second Place 30%, Third Place 20%.

BTC Big Three Marlin Jackpot $5,000
The fee to enter the BTC Big Three Marlin Jackpot is $5,000 and is optional. Teams must register before their first entered tournament fishing day in the series to be eligible. The BTC Big Three Marlin Jackpot will be awarded to the top three teams with the three largest marlin by weight in the series and will be awarded accordingly; First place 50%, Second Place 30%, Third Place 20%

BTC Heavy Hitter Winner Take All Largest Marlin Jackpot $10,000
The fee to enter the BTC Heavy Hitter Winner Take All Largest Marlin Jackpot is $10,000 and is optional. Teams must register before their first entered tournament fishing day in the series to be eligible. BTC Winner Take All Largest Marlin Jackpot will be awarded to the team catching the largest blue marlin by weight in the series. Only teams registered in the BTC Winner Take All Largest Marlin Jackpot will be eligible for this cash award.

BTC Crown Jewel Winner Take All Top Release Points Jackpot $20,000
The fee to enter the BTC Crown Jewel Winner Take All Top Release Points Jackpot is $20,000 and is optional. Teams must register before their first entered tournament fishing day in the series to be eligible. The BTC Crown Jewel Winner Take All Top Release Points Jackpot will be awarded to the top three teams with the most overall series points of the three event series and will be awarded accordingly; First place 50%, Second Place 30%, Third Place 20%.

Awards Presentation:
The Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish champions will be recognized during the Sea Horse Anglers Club awards presentation July 23, 2024.

Prize Disbursement:
Each registered team representative is in control of any prize winnings and must sign a prize disbursement form specifying how the funds are to be distributed. If the funds are intended to be disbursed to multiple parties, each party must fill out a form signing off on their portion of the winnings and specifying how the funds are to be distributed (check, ACH or wire), in addition to providing a signed form W-9, if applicable. Funds will be disbursed 30 days from receipt of all necessary documents, as long as all tournament entry fees have cleared the bank. All funds will be paid from a US bank account in US dollars.

Bermuda Billfish Blast Unofficial Prizes & Awards

BASE ENTRY FEE
All teams pay a tournament base entry fee of $5,000. This is not optional. The tournament base entry fee prize money will be disbursed to the winners accordingly: 50 percent goes to the tournament; the remaining 50 percent goes to:

30% – Heaviest Marlin
12% – 2nd Heaviest Marlin
8% – 3rd Heaviest Marlin
30% – 1st Overall Points
12% – 2nd Overall Points
8% – 3rd Overall Points

The scoring system includes 500 points for each blue marlin release, 1 point per pound for blue marlin at or over the 500-pound minimum weight, 100 points for each white marlin, spearfish and sailfish release. If a blue marlin brought to the scales fails to make the minimum weight limit, the team that caught the fish will be penalized 500 team points, plus two points per pound that the fish is under the minimum weight. Only one blue marlin per boat per day may be landed. Complete details are in the rules.

DAILY BILLFISH RELEASE JACKPOT

There are two levels of optional Daily Billfish Release Jackpot. You must register in level-one to be eligible for the level-two jackpot. Level-one jackpot fee is $3,000; level-two jackpot fee is $5,000. The daily billfish-release prize consists of one-third of the total jackpot money. If no billfish are released on an individual day, the jackpot rolls over to the next day. If no billfish are released on the final day of fishing, then the final-day jackpot money goes to the previous day’s winner(s). Only teams entered in the daily billfish-release jackpots will be eligible for these cash awards.

There are three levels of the optional Top Three Overall Largest Marlin Jackpot. You must register in level-one to be eligible for the level-two jackpot and you must be in level-two to be eligible for level-3. Level-one jackpot fee is $1,000; level-two jackpot fee is $2,000, level-3 jackpot fee is $5000. The Jackpot awards go to the top three largest blue marlin (by weight) caught during the tournament that meet or exceed the minimum weight requirement of 500 pounds. The jackpot will be awarded accordingly: First place – 50% / Second place – 30% / Third place – 20%. For example, the Jackpot awards go to the largest tuna (by weight) caught each day that meets or exceeds the minimum weight requirement of 25 pounds. The daily jackpot prize will consist of one-third of the total jackpot money. If no tuna that reach the minimum weight on an individual day are weighed, the jackpot rolls over to the next fishing day. If on the final day of fishing no fish reach or exceed the minimum weight limits are caught, then the final day’s jackpot money goes to the previous day’s winner(s). If no qualifying tuna are caught, the Daily Largest Tuna Jackpot will be awarded to the top three largest marlin accordingly: first place 50-percent; second place 30-percent; third place 20-percent. The daily jackpot prize will consist of one-third of the total jackpot money. If no wahoo that reach the minimum weight on an individual day are weighed, the jackpot rolls over to the next fishing day. If on the final day of fishing no fish reach or exceed the minimum weight limits are caught, then the final day’s jackpot money goes to the previous day’s winner(s). If no qualifying wahoo are caught, the Daily Largest Wahoo Jackpot will be awarded to the top three largest marlin accordingly: first place 50-percent; second place 30-percent; third place 20-percent. Sea Horse Anglers Club Billfish Tournament Unofficial Prizes & Awards

Base Entry Fee
All teams pay a tournament base entry fee of $3500. This is not optional. The tournament base entry fee prize money will be disbursed to the winners accordingly: 40 percent goes to the tournament; the remaining 60 percent goes to the top three team point leaders. The scoring system includes 500 points for each blue marlin release, 1 point per pound for blue marlin at or over the 500-pound minimum weight, 100 points for each white marlin, spearfish release and sailfish release.

If no teams registered in the Largest Blue Marlin Jackpot catch a qualifying marlin over the minimum weight, the jackpot will be awarded to the top three billfish teams of the tournament and will be split accordingly: First Place 50 percent, Second Place 30 percent and Third Place 20 percent. Only teams registered in the Largest Blue Marlin Jackpot will be eligible for this cash award.

Winner Take All Non-Sonar Jackpot
Level I – $1,000
Level II – $2,000
Entry in this optional category is restricted to boats without omnidirectional sonar technology.

There are two levels of optional Winner Take All Non-Sonar Jackpot. You must register in level one to be eligible for the level-two jackpot. Level-one jackpot fee is $1,000; level-two jackpot fee is $2,000. The Winner Take All Non-Sonar will be awarded to the top Non-Sonar Vessel with the most overall points of the tournament over the three days of fishing. Only teams registered in the Winner Take All Non-Sonar Jackpot will be eligible for these cash awards.

Winner Take All Largest Gamefish Jackpot
$1000
The fee to get into the optional Winner Take All Largest Gamefish Jackpot is $1,000 and is optional. The Winner Take All Largest Gamefish Jackpot will be awarded to the team with the heaviest gamefish of the tournament over the three days of fishing. In the event that no game fish meeting the 25-pound minimum weight are caught the jackpot will be awarded to the top three billfish teams of the tournament and will be split accordingly: First Place 50 percent, Second Place 30 percent and Third Place 20 percent. Only teams registered in The Winner Take All Largest Gamefish Jackpot will be eligible for this cash award.

PRIZE DISBURSEMENT
Any team receiving cash awards must fill out a prize-disbursement form prior to receiving any funds or prizes. Each registered team representative is in control of any winnings and must sign this form. All winnings will be sent to the winners once all funds have cleared the bank. All winners and entrants of this tournament may be subject to a polygraph test at the tournament committee’s discretion. If a participant refuses to submit to a polygraph test for any reason, then any winnings that may be coming to that participant (or his or her team) will be automatically forfeited.
