Savor the flavor of tender grilled Mongolian beef ribs marinated to perfection and slow-cooked with a rich, savory sauce. Serve these mouthwatering ribs with pickled onions and shaved radishes for a delicious dish and pair with a Tito’s Spicy Mango Martini.
Ingredients | Serves 4-6
- 4 lbs. Grand Western beef ribs, membrane removed
- Pickled red onion and shaved radish, for garnish
For the marinade
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- 2 Tbsp. corn starch
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
For the sauce
- 2 Tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
- green onion stalks
- dried chiles
- ¼ cup vegetable oil, for searing
Preparation
- Marinate ribs in a container for at least three hours or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
- Mix sauce ingredients in a container and chill in the refrigerator overnight.
- Remove ribs and sauce from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.
- Preheat oven to 225 degrees. On a sheet pan lined with foil, place the ribs, and cover with foil to seal. Bake for approximately two hours. Pour the sauce over the ribs, and return to the oven for another 35 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let stand, uncovered, for approximately 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with pickled onion and radish.
