This Donzi 58 represents a complete redesign and expansion of the original Donzi Z-54 with a great many improvements and refinements.
** Handling and performance:** Surprisingly little turbulence makes for a very clean wake at trolling speeds. The Z-58 seemingly turns on a dime like a lightweight speedster, while handling seas like a heavyweight cruiser.
** Command and control:** Excellent emergency controls in case of an electronic controls malfunction. The single-lever controls with electronic workings really complement the ease of use of the DDEC system. I also can’t get over the superb flybridge helm station. It could well be the best layout I’ve ever seen. Add to this unobstructed 360-degree visibility and the helmsman may choose to never leave the bridge.
** Access:** Also very impressive is the amount of access the Donzi provides. Whether you want to get into storage areas, the engine room, air conditioning ductwork, wiring or plumbing, Donzi has provided easy and clean access without having to remove bulkheads or go through inhuman
contortions.
