Los Sueños, Costa Rica, January 31-February 4
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Costa Rica on this expedition that’s tailored for couples. Featuring three full days of offshore fishing and a relaxing four-night stay at the luxurious Los Sueños Resort and Marina, this expedition offers the best of both worlds.
Each day, any four anglers of the group will embark on an exciting day offshore, while the others indulge in their choice of land-based activities, including shopping, dining out, exploring the area’s natural wonders, lounging by the pool or playing golf.
This is the perfect trip to introduce your significant other to the world of sport fishing while enjoying quality time together and meeting new friends in the stunning backdrop of Costa Rica. With world-class amenities, private dining, locally sourced cuisine, and plenty of opportunities for adventure and relaxation, this retreat promises to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Galápagos Islands, April 3-10
Located 600 miles off the Ecuadorian coastline of South America, the Galápagos Islands are truly the gems of the eastern Pacific Ocean. An unforgettable journey to these islands inspired British naturalist Charles Darwin’s 19th-century theory of evolution. They’re home to some of Earth’s most interesting and diverse species of wildlife—showcasing plants and animals found nowhere else. And if that in itself doesn’t give you a push to visit, this might: The region’s cool ocean currents attract a steady stream of predators, specifically striped marlin.
While these islands can hold all Pacific marlin species depending on the time of year, we are putting you there at the height of the stripey season. These fish are big, with some approaching the 200- and 300-pound mark. So if you’re looking to pitch-bait these fish on conventional gear or want to try catching one on fly, the Galápagos is the place to do it.
The striped-marlin season exists year-round in the Galápagos, peaking between January and June. Only eight spots were available for this once-in-a-lifetime expedition, and the trip sold out in 48 hours. We currently have a waiting list, so if you want to be included, please let us know. Who knows, we might even be able to swing another trip out of it (fingers crossed).
Ladies Only Casa Vieja Lodge, Guatemala, April 23-28
This exclusive trip is designed and executed for the ladies, by the ladies! Our all-female teaching staff provides the supportive environment women need to gain the skills and confidence to compete with the boys. You’ll find zero judgment here; we meet every angler at their skill level and pair you with women with similar fishing experience so everyone is learning at the same pace, including the tips and tricks to keep you swinging at anything that comes into the spread.
The four days of high-energy billfishing provided during this expedition are designed to promote confidence, teamwork and relationship building. If you’re looking to meet people who share your passion for big-game fishing and be tutored by some of the best female fishermen in the industry, look no further. Our ladies-only expedition puts you in the right place at the right time. You might even call it fate.
Casa Vieja Lodge, Guatemala, May 4-9, May 19-24, December 14-19
Education remains the backbone of Marlin Expeditions. And when it comes to getting lots of bites under your belt, or brushing up for tournament season, Guatemala never disappoints.
With three date options for 2025, these coed learning sessions ensure you leave with a better circle-hook game than when you arrived. To be a good dead-bait fisherman, mastering this technique takes practice. With so many shots, chances are you’ll improve a hundredfold over four fishing days, especially when our staff of professionals is on hand to assist any way we can.
Perhaps the most all-inclusive of all the trips we run, you can’t beat the camaraderie, the five-star service or the billfishing at Casa Vieja. Have you ever really fished if you haven’t been to Guatemala? It’s that amazing.
Kona, Hawaii, June 1-10
What’s not to love about Kona? With its bluewater fishing closer to land than most anywhere else, consistently calm seas and abundant big blue marlin, Kona is a dream destination for anglers, professional captains and mates—so much so that many professionals consider their careers incomplete without working at least one season here, where classic lure-fishing remains the tradition.
Many anglers flock to Kona to add a grander—or a really big fish—to their fishing résumés and to complete their billfish slam with a shortbill spearfish.
This 10-day trip to Hawaii’s Big Island offers six full days of unforgettable heavy-tackle fishing on three of the finest charter boats in Honokohau Harbor, each equipped with omni sonars and the finest tackle you can buy. The expedition includes two adventure-filled lay days exploring the islands’ natural wonders. Marlin Expeditions promises a Hawaiian vacay full of camaraderie, good times, private dining and glamour weather, making this experience one you won’t want to miss. Just nine spots are available!
