Old Harbor Outfitters knives and scissors
Old Harbor Outfitters launched a line of knives and deck scissors that use titanium to keep corrosion at bay.
Jun 25, 2008

Many of the knives and tools marketed to sport fishermen almost seem to be disposable in nature — some rust away to dust halfway through a season. Since salt water and most metals don't get along, some crews buy cheap gear and toss it when it corrodes to the point where it stops doing its job. Old Harbor Outfitters launched a line of knives and deck scissors that use titanium to keep corrosion at bay.

Old Harbor's line of tools includes seven different knife styles and two scissors, all featuring a patented titanium bonding technology that makes the tools three times harder than stainless steel and gives them the highest corrosion-resistance rating in their class.

All of the tools are crafted by fusing high-tech materials through a patented bonding technology and come with a long list of features essential to saltwater fishing, including a corrosion-resistant blade, a precision serrated edge and a comfortable, nonslip grip.
