Raymarine Super HD Radar
If you like fully automatic, turn-it-on-and-leave-it-alone machines, you'll love Raymarine's new HD Digital and Super HD Digital Radar technology. Utilizing highly advanced signal processing, Raymarine's HD Digital Radar provides incredibly detailed target resolution along with its fully automatic operation. The company also says that its groundbreaking Super HD Digital Radar offers a greater dynamic range, which enables the digital receiver to acquire and process large amounts of echo information that previous analog radars would simply lose in the clutter. The system then uses powerful processors to differentiate and identify true radar targets while eliminating unwanted sea clutter. To further increase the detail and help identify separate targets, the Super HD Digital boosts the antenna size and uses unique processing algorithms to reduce the horizontal beam. With its fully automatic capability, there is no operator setup or adjustments for gain, sea clutter and tuning — all settings adjust automatically on every range scale. Available in five color palettes for harbor, coastal, offshore or buoy modes, the radar displays 256 colors. To complement the units Raymarine also offers new HD Digital and Super HD Digital open array antennas in both 4kW and 12kW models. Both of these antennas come in either a 4-foot or 6-foot version. For more information, visit www.raymarine.com, or call 603-881-5200.
